MIT. ECLIPSE RUNNING HOT?
Well i just bought a Eclipse and today i noticed that it is running hot? When i am driving the pointer is the the middle where it should be but when i accelerate some times it goes way up and then back down to "even" again? I don't think this is normal because my jeep never has done that. It goes to the half way marker and stays there the entire time while driving. The eclipse has a year life on the extended warranty. Should i just watch and see how it does or not be concerned about it? I had a camaro but it had a bad head gasket but it would just stay "hot" and the engine warning would go on... With the eclipse there is no warning light, it just shots up and then stays in the middle...? PLEASE HELP =D

WHAT'S CODE PO421 MIT ECLIPSE?
I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Recently during a road trip, the "check engine" light came on after filling up an unfamiliar gas station. However, the light intermittently appears. Therefore, I had an auto mechanic check it out. I was told to replace the top oxygen sensor. Therefore, I replaced the top oxygen sensor and reset the "check engine" light. However, a few days later the "check engine" light appeared again. I replaced the second oxygen sensor. Also, my car passed the emission test, but failed the functional due to the "check engine" light. I've been told this PO421 code can be tricky and cost the owner plenty of money on repairs with no guarantee that this "check engine" light will remain off. can any professional with knowledge or similar experience shed some specific of this code? Thanks Both oxygen sensors have been replaced. However, I was told to take the car on a road trip and reset the check engine light. Therefater, it should remain off.

WHAT IS THE SENSOR BETWEEN THE Y PIPE AND THE CAT. ON A 98 MIT ECLIPSE.IS IT THE O2 SENSOR?
I ran over some road kill and it broke off the sensor between the y pipe and the cat. the car is running fine but I would like to know if it is the oxygen sensor or not. if it isn't i would like to know what sensor it is.
