Roger Federrer has cut back his 2009 clay court schedule. He will only play 2 clay court tournaments before the French Open, which is the only Grand Slam tournament he has never won. He lost the 2008 French Open to Rafael Nadal. This year, Federrer played 4 clay court tournaments ahead of the French Open, which included: Estoril, Portugal; Monte Carlo; Rome; and Hamburg, Germany.
